Standard e-commerce packaging is designed for items that weigh a few kilograms and can survive a short fall. A Red Light therapy bed is a different problem entirely.
The typical Red Light Therapy Bed weighs between 200 a 900 pounds (āhua 90 ki 400 kilograms) depending on its frame material, LED count, and cooling hardware. That weight creates inertia: when a truck brakes or a forklift sets the load down hard, the mass of the bed keeps moving even after the crate stops.
I taua wa ano, several components are fragile in ways that are not immediately visible:
- Acrylic or tempered glass panels that can crack under point pressure
- LED arrays mounted on rigid boards that can flex and fail at solder joints
- Power supplies and control electronics sensitive to moisture and shock
- Hinges, gas struts, and lifting mechanisms that can bend if the unit twists
- Exterior finishes that scuff easily when rubbed against a rough surface
Packaging therefore has to do two jobs at once: support the weight without concentrating stress on a few points, and isolate the unit from shock and vibration without letting it shift inside the container.
