A supplier’s spare-parts promise should cover the expected service life, not only the warranty period. Large red light therapy beds are difficult to replace quickly, and a discontinued controller can make an otherwise repairable unit unusable.
Ask the supplier to classify parts by criticality. Safety-critical or downtime-critical parts may include LED modules, Fahrer, Netzteile, Fans, Temperatursensoren, emergency-stop components, Steuerplatinen, Touchscreens, Aktoren, cables, and connectors. Cosmetic panels and covers may be less urgent, but they can still affect safety if they protect wiring or optics.
The supplier should disclose expected lead times, minimum order quantities, storage conditions, part revision controls, and whether parts are genuine, approved equivalents, or customer-specific. A replacement driver should not be treated as interchangeable simply because the connector fits. Its voltage, current, control protocol, electromagnetic behavior, and thermal characteristics must match the approved design.
For critical equipment, consider holding a local spare-parts kit. The kit should be selected with the supplier’s failure data and should include instructions, shelf-life information where relevant, Verpackung, and a clear rule about who may install each part. The red light therapy bed supplier should also commit to notifying customers before a part becomes obsolete and offering an approved replacement or migration path.
