Preventive maintenance reduces avoidable failures and helps the red light therapy bed deliver consistent output. The schedule should be based on the product’s design, duty cycle, environment, and usage volume rather than a generic sentence telling staff to “maintain the machine regularly.”
A practical maintenance plan may include cleaning approved surfaces, inspecting fans and air paths, checking cables and connectors, verifying emergency-stop operation, inspecting hinges and actuators, reviewing error logs, checking grounding and protective devices, and measuring light output at defined intervals. The red light therapy bed supplier should state which tasks operators may perform and which tasks require trained service personnel.
Commercial rooms introduce additional variables. Dust, hair, cleaning chemicals, high humidity, repeated disinfecting, and long operating hours can shorten component life. The red light therapy bed supplier should explain which chemicals are compatible with the surfaces and which must never be used near optics, seals, berøringsskjermer, or electrical connections.
After maintenance, the technician or trained operator should record the date, unit serial number, task performed, parts used, measurements, findings, and next due date. A maintenance checklist without a result or signature is not a reliable service record.
