Packaging only protects the Red Light therapy bed device until the moment it is opened. The receiving process is the last line of defense.
- Inspect the crate exterior before signing anything, and photograph any crush damage, punctures, water stains, or broken strapping
- Check whether shock or tilt indicators have been triggered
- Note any visible damage on the delivery receipt rather than signing a clean receipt
- Unpack with the Red Light therapy bed device still on the pallet where possible, so it does not have to be lifted twice
- Keep all packaging until the Red Light therapy bed has been powered on and tested
- Report concealed damage immediately, since freight claims are subject to short filing windows
Signing a clean delivery receipt without inspection is the most common reason a damage claim is later rejected. A few minutes with a phone camera can be the difference between a replacement and a disputed loss.
