How Does the Freight Method Affect Red Light Therapy Bed Packaging?

Packaging is designed around the mode of transport, not the other way around.

A Red Light therapy bed shipped by less-than-truckload (LTL) freight shares a trailer with other pallets and may be loaded and unloaded several times. That handling profile calls for a rigid crate, secure strapping, and clear forklift access on all four sides of the base.

A full truckload (FTL) shipment moves without intermediate handling, so the packaging can sometimes be lighter, but the load still needs to be braced against shifting during transit.

For residential deliveries, carriers often require a liftgate because the crate is too heavy to unload by hand. Some sellers offer white-glove service, in which the carrier brings the unit inside, removes the packaging, and takes the debris away. If white-glove service is not included, the buyer should confirm in advance who is responsible for moving a crate that may weigh several hundred pounds.

Ocean freight adds another layer of risk. Containers experience condensation, prolonged vibration, and heavy stacking, so exporters usually specify a full crate rather than a carton, add extra desiccant, and secure the load to the container floor.
